Urban Wetland, Bogota

Urban Wetlands is an urban space intervention located at Bogota, Colombia. It is an 8500sqm design intervention which acts as a breather to commercial organizations. The design concept is based on the wetlands of Bogota Savannah, which has a large number of plant species. Its created as a natural ecosystem, where the green plantations are equally supported by aquatic sources.
The intervention aims to emulate the vast forest lands and create a space for a pause in the rush of everyday business. The designers aimed to create a sustainable design and the water bodies are sourced by rainwater harvesting.
The abstraction aims to portray the utilization of the space during work days and also tries to bring out the essence of the various greens of the Bogota wetland which stands out in the Urban intervention for the people.
