Studio Conductors
The intention of the exercise was to understand how a housing complex/home interacts with its surrounding and the larger site context on the basis of various parameters.
Before starting the housing studio, students were asked to analyse their current homes with respect to efficiency of one dwelling unit, private and shared spaces on the floor, obligatory and voluntary space within the building premises, the site edges and level of participation and the neighbourhood proximity.
The exercise starts from analysing the spaces and interactions in a house and then the scale increases to floor level interaction and in this manner all the parameters were to be analysed from a floor level interaction right upto interaction of the house and its impact on the nearby surroundings.
